Coaching yourself is about

  • Maximising your ongoing learning and development
  • Making sure you learn from your day-to-day experiences
  • Getting the most from any formal training courses that you attend
  • Enhancing your skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis.

Once you get used to coaching yourself, it becomes part of how you work on a daily basis. When it becomes habitual, it takes very little time; in fact, it can save you time in the long run by helping you to work more effectively and efficiently.
