This is a short, easy-to-read book that discusses how managers are often on the receiving end of lots of tasks ‘delegated’ to them by their subordinates and colleagues. It describes these tasks as ‘monkeys’ that jump onto your back, weighing you down. The book gives lots of practical ideas about how to see them coming and to keep the monkey where it belongs, allowing you to regain control of your own working life.
